1760. The roots of his family can be traced back to the Ottoman Empire around 1760. Several generations of the family have catered the Imperial Court of the Ottoman Sultans in Constantinople with sweets pastries such the candied chestnuts and other candied fruits and soft Nougats from Adana, known since antiquity.
1844, during the 19th century and during 20th centuries several members of the family have created, popularized various iconic foods such Belgian Fries, Belgian waffles and chocolate bonbons.
The first fairground establishment was register in 1844 in Brussels, Belgium under the brand ‘’Fritz ’’ known today as the ‘’Fritz of Belgium™’’. During the 19th multiple fairground barracks and upper class establishments, know as ‘’salons de Thés’’ where for the first time in 1897 their famous chocolate sauce was used at to cover Belgian waffles then candied fruits including the invention of an iconic bonbons the orange peels and other famous Belgian chocolates known as pralines including the Mendiants, the Orangettes ( Orange peels) in 1910 or the »Manons in in 1933 ( White chocolate filled with coffee cream.).

1904. At the St Louis, Missouri International exhibition the founder of Deliska tradition, Dimitri Daskalides great-uncle Leonidas Kestekidès co -invent with Abe Doumar the Ice cream cone.
Deliska tradition today still use the original recipes of the fabulous Manons invented by three member of Dimitri Daskalides family, his uncle, Jean Daskalidès, his great-uncles, Basile Kestekidès and Elie Aghnidès in 1933 in the Blankenberghe, Belgium establishment where Albert Einstein was a daily visitor while a refugee from the Nazis Einstein was one of the first international fan. On his honor one of these Iconic Manon is called `’ Albert’’
Since 1931, his family was at the origin of the Fritz, Daskalides and Leonidas pastries and Leonidas chocolate shops alongside with other iconic chocolate brands such as Godiva, Neuhaus, Corné Port Royal, Jeff de Bruges or Côte d'Or.
